The Role

We are recruiting a Trainee Mechanical Inspector to join an established aerospace manufacturer in Denham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in engineering and an eye for detail to develop a career in inspection.

You will receive training to:

• Inspect components using a range of testing techniques and inspection equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and test procedures.
• Complete inspection records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Use SAP to track components, record work in progress and report non-conforming products.
• Check that inspection equipment is maintained and within calibration.
• Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a safe, organised working environment.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Basic administration skills and an organised approach.
• A good standard of education, including GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and Physics.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

An engineering background, experience reading engineering drawings or familiarity with inspection equipment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
