Warehouse Labourer

Recruiting for a warehouse labourer – to work for a well established aerospace company in Denham - UB9 - Buckinghamshire 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a warehouse labourer to join a world-leading aerospace manufacturer based in Denham, UB9. This is a permanent, full-time role within a clean, safety-critical manufacturing environment, offering long-term stability, development and outstanding benefits.

As a Labourer  you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient production area, supporting highly skilled engineering teams who design and manufacture life-saving aerospace equipment.

Hours, Pay & Location

  • Salary: £26,500 per annum, equivalent to approximately £13.60 per hour, plus overtime
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm - 37.5 hours per week 
  • Early finish every Friday at 12 midday
  • Own transport advantageous; shuttle bus service available from Uxbridge

The Role

  • Maintaining a clean and tidy manufacturing environment across machining cells
  • Sweeping and cleaning floor areas, emptying bins and removing general waste
  • Monitoring, removing and recycling daily swarf bins, separating materials correctly
  • Using a Robur pallet truck to transport swarf bins to main recycling skips
  • Cleaning machine exteriors using approved cleaning materials
  • Removing coolant and cleaning machine sumps and wet vacuum hoovers in line with TPM schedules
  • Reporting coolant or oil leaks and any unsafe conditions to supervisors or maintenance teams
  • Keeping external yard areas and walkways clean and hazard-free
  • Supporting Lean initiatives including 5S and Continuous Improvement
  • Adhering strictly to all Health & Safety, COSHH and Safe Systems of Work requirements
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain a productive, safe working environment

What we are looking for

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning environments
  • Must have a stable career history in the past 5 years 
  • Understanding of recycling procedures for metals, plastics and waste materials
  • Good general Health & Safety awareness
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and balancing daily priorities
  • Strong team player with clear communication skills
  • Forklift Truck or Robur Pallet Truck licence desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment
