About the Workshop Operative Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Operative to join our team in Harlow within the aerospace sector. This role involves carrying out a variety of general and specialised workshop tasks to support daily operations and ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers. Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.

Workshop Operative Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance data and specific job requirements
• Carry out maintenance tasks including (but not limited to):
  • Window polishing
  • Grinding and fettling
  • Paint stripping
  • Shot peening
  • Removal and installation of bearing cups
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE
• Drive the company van as required
• Perform receipt inspections of incoming customer jobs
• Assist with dispatch activities, including wrapping and packaging of customer items
• Support other workshop activities as needed
• Carry out any additional duties within your capabilities as directed by the company

Workshop Operative Skills & Experience

• Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
• Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
