Salary: £27,500 – £29,000 (dependent on experience)
About the Workshop Technician Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Technician to join our team in Harlow within the aerospace sector. This role involves carrying out a variety of general and specialised workshop tasks to support daily operations and ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers. Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
Workshop Technician Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance data and specific job requirements
- Carry out maintenance tasks including (but not limited to):
- Window polishing
- Grinding and fettling
- Paint stripping
- Shot peening
- Removal and installation of bearing cups
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE
- Drive the company van as required
- Perform receipt inspections of incoming customer jobs
- Assist with dispatch activities, including wrapping and packaging of customer items
- Support other workshop activities as needed
- Carry out any additional duties within your capabilities as directed by the company
Workshop Technician Skills & Experience
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
